There are a lot of bra companies out there promising to answer all of your bra-blems (ThirdLove uses this on their site, hopefully I’m not violating copyright, but I think it’s a hilarious and fitting phrase). But not many of them deliver.

ThirdLove

Sure, there are many factors that influence which brands and styles work for each bra-wearer, but we all know there are plenty of bra brands that don’t deliver on anything at all.

Is Third Love one such company? Or do they actually offer a good bra?

I tried multiple products, and I have many opinions. Here they are.

The TL;DR:

Alright, impatient reader, here’s my take at a glance: I dig ’em. Even the underwire style was far more than bearable to wear for multiple hours, and I say that as a bra hater who frequently forgoes them altogether (I know being able to go braless is a privilege that not all carry).

The price is okay for a larger, more well-respected bra brand, but with most styles starting around $58-$72, it’s not the cheapest.

They have a wide variety of styles and all of them have been reasonably to incredibly comfortable and shipping is fairly fast, so ThirdLove gets something like an A- from me.

ThindLove Overview

ThirdLove Review: Is ThirdLove legit?

In general, I think Third Love is worth as much as it costs. They’re almost all comfortable enough for all-day wear and disappear under the thinnest of shirts with inclusive colors, sizes, and styles.

Keep in mind that at a 32DD/E, I can only speak to my own smallish-chested experience. I do see from their site that they offer pretty inclusive sizing with band sizes up to 44 and cup sizes up to H with half-sizes in between, but I cannot speak to how well their bras would support larger breasts.

The price point is around mid for a more well-respected bra company, with most styles falling into the $50 to $80 price range. I know this isn’t accessible for some, but I think many of us would happily pay a bit more for something that doesn’t make us miserable and seems to hold up well after everyday use.

I will say that my biggest complaint is somewhat inconsistent sizing. When they offer things like “SM+,” my boobs and I perk up, but in my case, the SM+ was tight while the regular SM wasn’t. I’m sure this can be chalked up to differences in style, but I can’t really wear the bra that I was most excited about (the 360 fit wireless one).

I’ll get more into specific products in a bit, but let’s look at a few of the most important things you’re considering when buying a bra.

Value/Price

ThirdLove t-shirt bra

First off is the price and whether or not it’s worth that price. Their most popular style, the t-shirt bra, comes in at $72 for the original and $78 for a lace variation. When you look at some of the other higher-end bras, this is about in the middle range, which feels fair for this particular bra.

Originally, I was skeptical about the padding of one of the bras in particular (the t-shirt) but upon having it on my body for an extended period of time, I never should have doubted the quality.

While $72 is high for many, when you consider other factors like durability and comfort, it’s worth it. I would give the price and value another A-, if I’m being honest. I’ve rarely paid more than $50 for a bra, but then again, maybe I wouldn’t be so opposed to them if I had splurged a little sooner.

Support and Comfort

Now, comfort is another story entirely. Aside from the 360 wireless (which is only uncomfy because of the size issue) and the deco lace one I received (it’s made entirely of mesh and lace, so I knew what I was getting into but wanted a sexy one for… science), the bras I wore kept me in place in an incredibly comfortable way.

Due to my breast shape, I often have the issue of bras digging into that armpit area. And due to having shallow shoulders, my straps are constantly slipping down unless they’re fully adjustable. I experienced no digging at all and while I was initially worried about the fact that the straps were not adjustable, I was able to tighten them enough to avoid any issues.

As I said in my t-shirt bra review, these don’t make me want to bring back bra-burning. And if you knew me, you would know how serious that claim is.

As for support, okay! I’m not the largest-breasted person out there. BUT, but, I’m not entirely flat-chested and my smaller band size means I am often faced with an issue of my bras riding up. No such issues arose here. I jogged around a little bit and noticed little to no movement without any of the soreness or general bra fatigue that comes with wearing a bra all day.

Variety of Styles

ThirdLove Collections

When it comes to variety, they got it! Underwire t-shirt bras for everyday wear, wireless options for the wire haters like me, bralettes, plunge, push-up, and fun lacey styles for general visual appeal.

I did find that their variety of skin tones was also a little more inclusive than some, with an equal amount of light and deep skin tones, including regular old white and black. I’m almost positive you will find a shade that becomes unnoticeable under the lightest or thinnest of shirts.

They have some pretty colors aside from skin tones, but you’re not going to find crazy leopard print or neon offerings here. Still, I doubt that you’ll be underwhelmed by the variety offered on their site.

The Shipping

In the two-day delivery time we live in, patience for long delivery windows is nonexistent (as is uh, paying for shipping at all a lot of the time).

They offer free shipping over $75, which is the price of one or two bras, so you shouldn’t have much trouble meeting that minimum.

As for speediness, my order was placed on 5/9 and was delivered on 5/16. That’s exactly 7 days (business and otherwise!) to fulfill the order and get it across the country. Not slow by any means. And with an iffy apartment where my mail gets lost half of the time, there were no issues.

The Products

I ordered four different bras to try out, all following their bra calculator to find out the right size for me (to varying degrees of success). I wanted to get some very different styles so I could speak on the quality of different products, and made sure to include their most popular style, the t-shirt bra.

My personal faves were the bralette, which I ordered in the cutest color, and the deco lace, which, while the least comfortable, does boost my confidence the most. This comes as a surprise to me, as I expected to love the 360 wireless best, but the sizing messed it up for me, unfortunately.

Let’s break down each one.

24/7 Classic T-Shirt Bra

Classic T-Shirt Bra

It feels only right to start with their best seller, the t-shirt bra, which I ordered in a 32DD/E soft pink (closest hue to my skin tone).

This one I was least excited about, as a long-time underwire hater. But it likely surprised me the most. While I was aware there was a wire present, there was no digging in anywhere, nothing itchy or rubbing to cause red lines or indents.

There were a few things I was immediately concerned about: the padding didn’t look like it would hold its shape and the straps weren’t fully adjustable. As someone who likes extra shaping when I do wear a bra and often tightens even the most adjustable straps allll the way, I was nervous.

It immediately dispelled these concerns. Great shape, straps tightened enough for no slipping, and the style is completely seamless under the cheap, form-fitting white crop top I tried it on under. At $72, this one was worth it.

Form 360 Fit Wireless Bra

360 Fit Wireless Bra

Now for the one I was most excited about: the Form 360 Fit Wireless Bra. As you can see in the screencap, I put my band and cup size in, and it told me which size would fit best (SM+)

As someone with a smaller band and larger cup size, I loved to see that I could get something that would be tight enough in the band but give me breathing room. Unfortunately, this one was a little bit tight.

Don’t get me wrong, I imagine this one is a dream if it fits correctly. The material is super soft and conceals the nips, and is wireless, which is usually a prerequisite for me with my bras.

However, the way that this one was just too tight and has me spilling out over the top makes this a no-go for me. Which is weird because the regular SM in the bralette fits perfectly. It would probably be worth the $68 if it fit me.

Deco Lace Unlined Bra

Deco Lace Unlined Bra

I wanted to try one of their sexier styles, and this Deco Lace Unlined Bra delivered. With mesh underneath and a lace overlay, it’s giving hot, it’s giving date night, we love to see it.

And while it looks like it’s not going to be super adjustable, the lace overlay is just that, there is an adjustable strap underneath it.

Now, would I wear this every day? No, it’s unlined mesh that’s not the most comfy against my nips, and it’s not going to disappear under a t-shirt. But will I wear it if I need to remember who tf I am? Yeah, absolutely. Is it a steeper price at $98? Also yes.

24/7 Classic Wireless Bralette

Classic Wireless Bralette

Last but not least, my favorite of the bunch: the wireless bralette that I got in this incredibly cute pinky-purple color called “sorbet.”

She’s cute, she fits like a dream (I got the regular ol’ SM per the size guide), and I would definitely wear her all day, every day (and might!)

The straps are fully adjustable, and the band is adjustable as well, which is promising because it means you can still wear it as the elastic starts to wear down. You can unhook the straps to cross them, making it suitable for racerback tanks.

It’s refreshing to see fairly expansive sizing with a size guide, and they have sizes up to 3X in this one.

End of the day, I just really like this one, and it’s been added to the rotation. $48 sounds steep for a bralette but she’s not like other bralettes! She’s better.

The Final Verdict: Is Third Love Legit?

At the end of the day, Third Love is worth it. My collection includes the comfiest, most well-fitting bras I have ever owned, and they seem sturdy enough to last years into the future. With a variety of styles and an approachable price point, it’s worth a try at the very least. I trust Third Love with my boobs and will be coming back for more.
