How I Picked the Best Bras for Sensitive Skin

I used these while curating this list, but you should check it out for what you should look for in your own search.

• Price: I wanted bras that were, across the line, fairly affordable. While some on this list are pricier than others, you won’t find any crazy expensive bras on here.
• Fabric and Materials: Fabric is one of the leading causes of skin irritation from bras, so I made sure to look for natural, breathable, skin-friendly fabrics. Natural fibers like 100% cotton, bamboo, and silk are hypoallergenic, as is latex-free elastic in the design. Modal fabric is another ultra-soft option.
• Skin-friendly Design and Fit: When it comes to sensitive skin, the less extra stuff, the better. I looked for tagless designs with fewer (or no) seams to eliminate any sensory nightmares. Thinner wire or wire-free designs are less likely to cause irritating rubbing or digging, so I checked for those, too.
• Variety of Sizes & Styles: People (and boobs) come in all sizes and shapes, and all of them deserve an irritation-free bra. I chose brands with a wide range of sizes and a variety of designs (underwire, bralettes, sports bras, wireless, etc.) so that everyone could find the right bra for their needs.

Best Sports Bra: Tomboy Full Spectrum Bra

Now hear me out, I know we agree that natural fabrics are best, but sports bras are an exception because they have a specific job to do. With this in mind, the best sports bra for sensitive skin is the Tomboy Full Spectrum Bra. While it is made from a breathable nylon-spandex blend, it’s OEKO-TEX® certified, so it’s produced without harmful chemicals.

What stands out about this bra is the lower armholes with thinner straps, designed to prevent chaffing and rubbing as well as digging. The compressive mesh is ultra-breathable for less irritation and plenty of support, so everything stays in place instead of jostling around and causing more discomfort.

It’s made from 95% organic cotton and 5% spandex and is certified by OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, so you can already tell that this is a good pick for sensitive skin. It offers light support with stretchy double-layered fabric for a breathable feel.

The scoop neckline reduces where the bralette rubs against your skin, so it could be a good option if you get eczema or have extra sensitive skin between your breasts.

I scrolled through 10 pages of reviews and didn’t find a single one under 5 stars (I’m serious), and many proclaim that this is the favorite bra they own.
