SKIMS is one of Kim Kardashian’s billion-dollar brands, a line of smooth shapewear that’s apparently for “every body.” And though it has a few scandalous picks in the roster, the majority of SKIMS’ products are basic, everyday bras that innocuously hide beneath your work blouse or formal dress.

I’ve been a self-proclaimed SKIMS fan for a few years now, but recently I’ve been looking for new bras to complement my already existing collection — bras that feel like SKIMS without being too out there.

Those that do usually share a few key qualities that focus less on decoration and more on that smooth, second-skin effect people love for everyday wear:

  • Seamless, smooth fabric that disappears under T-shirts and fitted clothing
  • Light to medium support that holds you in without heavy padding or rigid structure
  • Minimal design details with very little lace, bows, or visible seams showing through clothes
  • Stretch and flexibility that molds to the body rather than sitting stiffly on top of it
  • Neutral, wearable tones that stay invisible under most outfits
  • Comfort-first construction that works for all-day wear without digging, shifting, or needing constant adjusting

With that in mind, here are a few brands I’ve found that meet these criteria.

At a Glance

Stylelisty Site
  • ThirdLove: The closest overall match to SKIMS, with smooth, sculpting, wireless styles that disappear under clothing while still feeling supportive and structured
  • Wacoal: The most “functional minimal” alternative, focused on support, smoothing, and invisibility under clothes
  • Aerie: The softest and most casual option, with lightweight bralettes and seamless pieces that feel similar in comfort but not in shaping or polish
  • Victoria’s Secret: A mixed bag of nostalgic and modern basics, with a few wireless and T-shirt bras that can approximate SKIMS’ smooth look
  • Savage X Fenty: More fashion-forward and textured, but offers a few wireless and seamless styles that mimic SKIMS’ comfort and stretch

ThirdLove

ThirdLove

ThirdLove is probably the closest to SKIMS in terms of that shapewear-adjacent smoothness, with everything feeling designed to hug, support, and sculpt.

As a lifelong underwire hater, one of my favorite things about ThirdLove is its range of wireless styles, especially since they’re actually cute and don’t look like those flesh-colored grandma bras. Despite this, the fabric is smooth and supportive rather than ultra-thin, resulting in a secure fit. They manage to feel both supportive and invisible at the same time, which is not an easy balance to strike.

They lean more minimal compared to some of the lace-heavy options on this list, but that clean, structured silhouette is what earns them a place on this list. Also, their half-cup sizing is a great feature that lets you get a more precise, tailored fit.

Product Spotlight:

  • Their Thermoregulating TempSync™ Wireless Bra and Form 360™ Lifting Wireless Bra are comparable to SKIMS’ scoop and barely-there lounge bras, but with more built-in structure.
  • Their Smoothing Scoop Wireless Bra feels close to the SKIMS Fits Everybody Scoop Bra, plus a little additional support.
  • For an ultra-comfy option, their Seamless Stretch Cotton Wireless Bra is like a cotton version of SKIMS’ lounge bras.

All in all, the whole brand gives off a very intentional “back-to-basics, but better” energy.

Wacoal

Wacoal

The Wacoal brand feels similar to ThirdLove in that it’s clean and minimal, but with a bit more traditional and “department store polished” feel.

Their wireless section has a lot of variety, even though the colors are a bit dull (mostly basics like taupe/tan, black, and navy blue). I like a good cherry red, which I’ve indeed seen on their site, but their colors are mostly good for hiding under dresses and everyday clothes.

They’re strong in the “supportive without being bulky” category, but their bras don’t always have that second-skin hug or stretch that SKIMS is famous for. However, its wireless options have a ton of variety (a win for me), and I appreciate that they occasionally throw in a cherry red or seasonal style.

Product Spotlight:

  • The Wacoal Back Appeal Wire-Free Bra is comfortable with a supportive but low-profile design.
  • The Wacoal How Perfect Wireless Bra is a great SKIMS alternative for everyday wear under basic T-shirts.
  • The Wacoal Visual Effects Minimizer Bra has a smoothing and shaping effect, especially under fitted tops.

If people prefer SKIMS for its sleek, modern minimal option, Wacoal is considered the slightly more structured, long-trusted alternative that prioritizes function first.

Aerie

Aerie

Aerie was my go-to place for bras and swimwear all through college (and even for a few years after that). The brand leans casual and youthful, with bras and underwear that are known for their playful designs and textures — think pastel shades, occasional animal prints, soft knits, easy on the lace, and lots of bralette and sports bra silhouettes.

I love their body positivity angle, their soft materials, and cute but simple designs, and I still order their cotton underwear when it goes on sale to this day. This is a draw because SKIMS models tend to be quite thin and “perfect,” so it’s really nice to see a wider range of body types and sizes represented on Aerie’s website. However, despite the wholesome marketing, I’ve found that many of their bras and swim tops run a bit smaller than I’d prefer, even in my proper size.

Product Spotlight:

  • Their Real Free and Real Me style bralettes are probably the closest to SKIMS’ Fits Everybody styles with a stretchy, lightweight feel.
  • The Smoothez collection feels like Aerie’s version of a SKIMS T-shirt bra and is invisible under your clothes.
  • The Real Sunnie Wireless Lightly Lined Bra is often compared to SKIMS’ wireless push-up options, but it delivers more comfort than lift.

Overall, Aerie can approximate the look, but they don’t have quite the hold or polish that SKIMS is known for. If anything, their bras are comfy, simple, and give you that “I’m in my 20s” feeling all over again.

Victoria’s Secret

Victoria's Secret

I’m in my thirties now, but I still remember going to the mall at eighteen with my girlfriends and buying my first flirty bra for my first serious boyfriend. It was a weird yet transformative experience when an employee came back to the dressing room with one of those mannequin tape measurers to measure me for the perfect fit.

But now that most malls have (sadly) become ghost towns, I honestly can’t remember the last time I stepped into a Victoria’s Secret. That being said, they do have a handful of styles that are on par with SKIMS bras.

Product Spotlight:

  • The Very Sexy So Obsessed Smooth Wireless Push-Up Bra is often cited as one of the better dupes for the Skims Wireless Push-Up Plunge. It uses a seamless, one-piece fabric design with memory foam padding for comfort.
  • VS also carries a few triangle bras that mirror SKIMS’ with their unlined, minimal aesthetic.

Victoria’s Secret might not be the cultural force that it once was, but it’s great if you love the brand and that clean, barely-there SKIMS look.

Savage X Fenty

Savage X Fenty

Given that Savage X Fenty was designed by Rihanna, I was pretty skeptical at first. Not that I don’t love Rihanna (because I do), but I’ve seen how celebrity-created brands crash and burn with cheap materials, overhyped designs that are actually kind of boring, or go way over the top by looking more like dental floss than a proper bra. Kardashian’s SKIMS was my exception, and I didn’t think I’d find another that lived up to the hype.

I’m happy to say I was wrong, and my favorite part of Savage X Fenty is the texture of their styles — there’s so much lace, floral print, straps, and bows that are the right amount of flirty. They even have men’s styles, which is kind of fun when I want to tease my husband by buying him designer briefs. He doesn’t think it’s funny, but I do.

Product Spotlight:

  • Savage X Fenty mesh bralettes resemble SKIMS mesh styles, although more decorative and less minimalist.
  • Their line of wireless bras is comparable to SKIMS Fits Everybody styles, but they’re not quite as supportive.
  • Savage X Fenty seamless panties and body suits give that SKIMS vibe with cute styles and patterns, but they don’t really hug you tight the way that SKIMS does.

Just note that the overall vibe is markedly different here. While SKIMS is all about minimalism, clean lines, and that barely-there, sculpted look, Savage X Fenty leans maximalist by comparison, with more visible design elements and a stronger “lingerie as fashion” energy.

My Final Fit Check on Bras Like SKIMS

There really isn’t a perfect SKIMS replacement — just different interpretations of the same idea:

  • ThirdLove and Wacoal come closest to that SKIMS-style smoothing, sculpting, and everyday wearability.
  • Aerie wins for comfort, modern styles, and affordability, but not hyper-hugging structure or polish.
  • Victoria’s Secret and Savage X Fenty lean more fashion-forward and expressive than minimal and shaping.

If SKIMS is the modern baseline for sleek, second-skin basics, then these five brands are all meeting that demand, or working somewhere around it. Some are softer, some are more wild, and some are more supportive, yet only a few of them feel like a SKIMS equivalent.

But for me, I’d argue that ThirdLove’s smooth, body-hugging styles are the easiest to actually disappear under a T-shirt, especially when compared to the fashion-forward, intentionally visible designs from Victoria’s Secret or Savage X Fenty.
